Raúl Lozano

Raúl Lucio Lozano (born September 3, 1956 in La Plata, Argentina[1]) is a former Argentine volleyball player. He first coached for Estudiantes de La Plata.[2] In 2005-2008 Lozano was the head coach of Poland's national volleyball team. He has also coached other top-level teams in Europe including teams from Italy, Greece, and Spain.[1] He led the Polish national team to win a silver medal at the 2006 World championship held in Japan.[1] His Polish team lost to Italy in the quarter final round of the 2008 Summer Olympics at Beijing.[3] In 2009 he coached the German team for two years.[4] He was then the head coach of Czarni Radom in Poland.[5] He serves as head coach for the Ukraine national team.

On November 17, 2015, it was announced that Raúl Lucio will coach the Iranian national volleyball team.[6] He replaced Slobodan Kovac who is the former coach of the Iranian team.[7]
