Peter Sutcliffe

Peter William Sutcliffe (2 June 1946 – 13 November 2020) was a British serial killer known as the Yorkshire Ripper.[1] He was born in Bingley, West Riding of Yorkshire.[1] In 1981, he was convicted of murdering thirteen women and attempting to murder seven others.[1] He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He served a twenty sentences of life imprisonment in Broadmoor High Security Hospital.

Sutcliffe married Sonia Szurma 10 August 1974. They lived together in Heaton, Bradford.

Sutcliffe died on 13 November 2020 while in prison in Durham from COVID-19, aged 74.[2]
