Patrick Sweeney (politician)

Patrick Anthony Sweeney (September 2, 1939 – September 7, 2020) was an American Democratic politician. He was a member of the Ohio Senate from 1997 to 1998, and a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1967 to 1997.

He was appointed in January 1997 to fill the vacancy caused by Dennis Kucinich, who was elected to Congress.[1] Sweeney was born in Cleveland, Ohio.

Sweeney died on September 7, 2020 in Cleveland at the age of 81.[2]
