Lucian Pintilie

Lucian Pintilie (Romanian pronunciation: [lut͡ʃiˈan pintiˈli.e]; 9 November 1933 – 16 May 2018) was a Romanian movie director and screenwriter. He was known for directing The Reenactment, An Unforgettable Summer, and Next Stop Paradise.

In 1968, he produced The Reconstruction thought by movie historians to be the most important representation of Romanian cinema.

Pintilie died on 16 May 2018 in Bucharest, Romania at the age of 84.[1]
