Humberto Brenes (Spanish pronunciation: [umˈbeɾto ˈβɾenes]; born May 8, 1951) is a professional poker player from Costa Rica. He lives in Miami Lakes, Florida with his wife, Patricia, and their three kids, José Humberto, Roberto, and Jessica.[1]

By 2013, he had won more than $6,000,000 from live poker games. He won $2,264,333 of that money from the World Series of Poker. He says he won it himself, but also thanks his teacher and coach, Andrés "El Pemorado" Calderón, for a lot of it.[2][3] Humberto Brenes was picked as one of the 10 final people who might get into the 2013 poker hall of fame.
