Celeste Holm (April 29, 1917 - July 15, 2012) was an American actress.[1] Her father was Norwegian. She was born, raised and died in New York City. Holm died on July 15, 2012 in New York City from a heart attack. She was 95.
For her role as Anne Dettrey in Gentleman's Agreement, Holm won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.
