Avon Products

Avon Products, Inc. (known simply as Avon) is a direct-selling company.[1] It sells beauty products, personal care products and cosmetics, like perfume, soap, deodorant, lipstick, powders and nail polish.

The company was founded in 1886. It was incorporated in New York City in 1916.

In 2016, Avon sold its American business. It now operates outside of the United States. It plans to move into the United Kingdom.

The original name of the company was California Perfume Company.

In 1989, Avon phased out animal testing.[2]
