Such Careful Design

I have owned and used the 65mm APO-Lanthar for years and am a huge fan of its superb image quality. But I have found it is sometimes a bit big to carry around while traveling. So when I was able to get it's 50mm non-macro brother, I jumped on it.
This 50mm APO-Lanthar lens is an amazing "clean window" lens. It draws its images preserving their rich colors and details with no visual compromises anywhere in the frame.
The optional click-less aperture and the brilliant variable aperture shape make it a lens that can be used with great thought so the photographer can choose some characteristics of the out of focus regions.
There is so much to like about this lens. I have not found anything no to like and I do not expect to.
Oh, one more thing. This lens will not become obsolete in my lifetime. It out-resolves my camera's sensor (A7iii) today and I believe it will bring out the best in whatever camera I have in the future.
I cannot imagine this lens being a disappointment to anyone.
