The GA (Ground Aspherical) front element produced in-house by Cosina is the primary element of the 50mm F1.0. 
Floating elements  ensure the highest possible stable image quality from the shortest shooting distance to infinity.

Beautiful bokeh effect with 12 aperture blades

12 aperture blades produce closer to a circular shape.
Out-of-focus areas are rendered naturally,
and point light sources are rendered with a soft, rounded bokeh effect.

Selective Aperture allows clickless Video Operation

The aperture ring provides optional Selective Aperture operation
for clickless video shooting.

Information communication with the body by electronic contacts

This lens has electronic contacts for communication between the lens and the camera body for Exif data of captured images.  Furthermore, the built-in distance encoder enables support for 5-axis image stabilization with compatible bodies.  Other features include magnifing the finder display by operating the focus ring.

Designed exclusively for Sony E mount

Optics optimized for the Sony E mount image sensors. The lens has a full-frame image circle 
for both full-frame and APS-C size Sony E mirrorless cameras.
