Replikacioni faktor C, podjedinica 2 je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran RFC2 genom.[1][2][3]
Za elongaciju prajmiranog DNK šablona posredstvom DNK polimeraze delta i epsilon neophodni su pomoćni proteini, proliferišući ćelijski nuklearni antigen (PCNA) i replikacioni faktor C (RFC). RFC, takođe poznat kao aktivator 1, je proteinski kompleks koji se sastoji od pet podjedinica sa 145, 40, 38, 37, i 36.5 kD. Ovaj gen kodira 40 kD podjedinicu, za koju je pokazano da je odgovorna za ATP vezivanje. Brisanje ovog gena je asocirano sa Vilijamsovim sindromom. Alternativno splajsovane transkriptne varijante kodiraju distinktne izoforme.[3]
RFC2 formira interakcije sa BRD4,[4] CHTF18,[5][6] PCNA,[7][8][9] RFC4[7][10] i RFC5.[7][10]
