Interdisciplinarnost
Interdisciplinarnost uključuje kombinovanje dva ili više akademskih disciplina u jednu aktivnost (npr. istraživački projekt). Radi se o stvaranju nekog novog prijelaza granica jednog područja i razmišljanja preko njih. To se odnosi na interdiscipline ili interdisciplinarna polja koja su organizacijske jedinice koje prelaze između tradicionalnih granica akademskih disciplina ili školskog razmišljanja, koje se javljaju kao nove potrebe i zanimanja.[1][2][3][4]
Termin interdisciplinarno primjenjuje se u obrazovanju i obuci iz pedagogije, opisujući studije koje koriste metode i uvide nekoliko osnovnih disciplina ili tradicionalnih oblasti studija. Interdisciplinarnost uključuje istraživače, studente i nastavnici u cilju povezivanja i integrisanja nekoliko škola akademskih mišljenja, zanimanja, ili tehnologija – zajedno sa svojim specifičnim perspektivama – u potrazi za rješenjem zajedničkog zadatka. U epidemiologiji AIDS-a ili globalnog zatopljenja zahtijeva se razumijevanje različitih disciplina za rješavanje složenih problema. Interdisciplinarnost može se primijeniti u smislu kada se smatra da je predmet istraživanja zanemarene ili čak pogrešno svrstan u tradicionalnoj strukturindisciplina istraživačkih institucija, naprimjer, ženske studije ili studije o etničkom prostoru. Interdisciplinarnost se isto tako može primijeniti za složene predmete koji se mogu shvatiti samo kombiniranjem perspektiva dva ili više polja.
Pridjev interdisciplinarni se najčešće koristi u obrazovnim krugovima kada istraživači iz dvije ili više disciplina udružuju svoje pristupe i mijenjaju ih tako da se nađu bolji odgovari na proučavani problem, uključujući i slučaj timskog predavanja, gdje se traži od studenta da shvate dati predmet u smislu više tradicionalnih disciplina. Naprimjer, predmet korištenje zemljišta može izgledati drugačije kada se ispituje iz različitih disciplina, na primjer, biologije, hemije, ekonomije, geografije i politike.
