Flatstick Pub, known for a focus on local beer and cider paired with indoor mini-golf is expanding to Bellingham. The popular putt-putt emporium, which has locations in Kirkland, Pioneer Square, and South Lake Union, will open the Bellingham location in early 2020. When it opens, the new bar will pour from 30 taps and serve food developed by Seattle restaurateur Ethan Stowell. Stowell also oversees the menu at the South Lake Union pub.

Founders Sam and Andy Largent source locally for all of their booze, with beer, wine, and cider coming from nearby producers. That should be particularly easy in Bellingham, which has a robust beer scene and a growing collection of cideries. The new location (902 N. State St.) will be open to minors until 7 p.m. each day, and it will allow dogs.

The Largent brothers are in serious expansion mode, with locations opening in Spokane this winter and Tacoma early next year. They opened the first Flatstick Pub in Kirkland in 2014.
