A Family ticket admits 4 people. This can include 2x adults and 2x children or 1x adult and 3x children. If purchasing a Family ticket, you will receive 1 PDF ticket to be scanned upon entry, which will admit all 4 people.
We accept VISA and Mastercard credit and debit cards.
All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by Australian consumer law.
Yes, you can conveniently buy your tickets online on the event day, but do keep in mind that it is subject to capacity limits.
Concession tickets are available for seniors (Senior Citizen card holders), student, carer, and health care card holders (with valid ID). Please be prepared to provide proof of your concession eligibility if requested – online enrolment for students will not be accepted, a current physical student ID card is required.
Children aged 4 years old and under will not require a ticket for entry and are admitted FREE.
Please inform a staff member at the gate entrance on arrival and be prepared to provide proof of the child’s age if requested.
All children aged 12 years old and under must be supervised by an adult whilst attending the Show.
All children 13 years old and over can attend the Show unsupervised.
Given the focus on maximising assistance to select charity partners, Melbourne Royal will only be providing any donations of tickets to our official charity partner. General FAQs
Certainly! You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks to the Melbourne Royal Show.
Please note that glass and breakable containers are strictly not permitted, and all other drink containers must be sealed, except for reusable water bottles which must be empty upon entry.
No, outside alcohol cannot be brought onto the Melbourne Showgrounds during the Melbourne Royal Show. However, designated areas are available where you can purchase and enjoy alcoholic beverages.
No animals, with the exception of accredited guide and accredited assistance animals, are permitted onsite. This does not include animals that are partaking in competitions or part of Show entertainment.
Cash is considered legal tender and should be accepted at all outlets throughout the Melbourne Showgrounds during the Melbourne Royal Show. However, please note that there may be some commercial stands that choose not to accept cash. We do not have a way of determining in advance which stands will or won’t accept cash. ATMs will also be accessible throughout the Show for cash withdrawals.
We understand the needs of parents, and that’s why we provide Parent Rooms for your convenience during the Melbourne Royal Show.

Yes, there are height restrictions and limitations for all rides.
The Melbourne Royal Show is a smoke-free event, smoking and vaping is not permitted onsite at Melbourne Showgrounds.
