This restaurant and Baerums Verk can be both really attractive for tourists. The varied menu based on Chinese cuisine is what you are offered at Szechuan Chengdu Restaurant. Make a change from your habitual meal and try nicely cooked taro, soup and chicken at this place. You will be offered good beer.
At this spot, you can order food as a takeaway. The positive aspect of this restaurant is that the staff is terrific. If you want to enjoy fine service, you should go to Szechuan Chengdu Restaurant. Had booked a table and arrived 7 minutes late and then they had given the table away. When we sat down at a table they had cleared, they wanted to move us. We were directly yelled at by a lady who worked there who said we were 10 minutes late. You don't yell at customers who haven't even had their food! We had been looking forward to going there for a long time, but will never set foot there again. Poor/lack of service and the staff and the venue radiate bad energy. It doesn't matter how good the food is when the experience is horrible before you've ordered. Instead, go to Yummy House at Majorstuen. There they have nice staff and premises and the food is delicious. Szechuan Chengdu Restaurant never gets a dime from me. Service: 1

Very rude staff!!! I was there with my friend. We were standing first in line for about 15 minutes and nobody asked us even though there were empty tables, so we understand they were busy. After some minutes, 2 other guys arrived and stood back to our line. An older Asian lady staff told me and my friend there are no more seats to us so my friend asked if We can sit outside and have some beer since there are vacant seats and she said no, seems like she is wooing us away. It’s kinda embarrassing. But then she asked the two guys at the back of us and told them to take the vacant table. Like what!? The two guys at the back of us were also shocked when they were offered the table first. I can’t believe it. I am also Asian so I don’t know why the staff acted like that. Worst restaurant in Oslo :(

food ok, but the staff is very nasty and impolite. Find another place!!!
