Great Service! Amazing Ambience! Below Par Food , Was staying at Rambagh Palace and was really looking forward to the meal at Savarna Mahal restaurant. The service was amazing and so was the ambience but unfortunately the food was bland and tasteless. Overall the food wouldn’t qualify even as passable. Think the flavours had been watered down to suit the western clientele which did form the majority of their business so if you are someone who appreciates the flavors of Indian cooking you will be very disappointed. So go for the service and ambience, but definitely not for the food. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Swarna Mahal is a stunning site with impressive architecture and rich history. However, be prepared: they don’t allow entry in shorts, t-shirts, or slippers. Dress appropriately to enjoy your visit!

This can't be a Taj property ... we have been trying to reserve a table at The Suvarna Mahal for the last 3 days, and all they keep saying is thst we need to call during specific hours, and when we do, it keeps ringing ...now out of nowhere the restaurant is closed for the next 4 nights for a event...maybe we aren't good enough for them... Food: 1 Service: 1
