At mySociety, we use our digital and data skills to put more power in more people’s hands. We use research to guide our approach to this challenge, and work with the wider civic tech movement to understand more about our impact.
Running services like TheyWorkForYou (Parliamentary monitoring), WhatDoTheyKnow (Freedom of Information), and FixMyStreet (issue reporting) raises many different challenges. We explore how effective our services are, how our work fits into the broader landscape, and where there is potential for new approaches or services to fill a gap.We run TICTeC — the annual Civic Technology conference bringing together researchers, practitioners, and others with an interest in how technology is changing the way we engage with society.
