Automata (自律式機械人形), commonly referred to as dolls (人形), are sentient humanoid mechanical dolls.
An automaton (automata or automatons) is a relatively self-operating machine, or control mechanism designed to automatically follow a sequence of operations, or respond to predetermined instructions. Some automata, such as bell-strikers in mechanical clocks, are designed to give the illusion to the casual observer that they are operating under their own power or will, like a mechanical robot. The term has long been commonly associated with automated puppets that resemble moving humans or animals, built to impress and/or to entertain people.
Automaton is robot looks like a doll being used for military wars services like a weapons, with no feelings of a heart until the wars is over. The dolls being repair with no memories are left, they want to live like a normal life and working as a waitress at Kuroneko-tei cafe. They want to be helpful to other people and build a relationship with the others they are taking order from.
