Most Poultry Shows are regulated by The Poultry Club of Great Britain in the UK. Shows are run under Poultry Club Rules, and the Breed Clubs will decide on the classes they want to be included for a show. Shows fall into several different categories that can be classified as follows:

• The National Championship Show is held at the International Centre, Telford.
• Royal Shows (held at agricultural shows) like the ‘Royal Highland’, the ‘Royal Welsh’ and the ‘Royal Bath and West’.
• Championship Shows are the main regional area poultry shows and include shows like the Scottish National show, and the Welsh Federation show.
• Regional Shows are specific area shows and include shows like Peebles Agricultural and the North Yorkshire County Show.
• Voucher Shows are the smallest shows run by local clubs and enthusiasts.

The Domestic Waterfowl Club is affiliated with the Poultry Club of Great Britain and has entry classes at the bigger shows and a dedicated Waterfowl National Championship Show. The British Waterfowl Association are independent of the Poultry Club of Great Britain and hold several large shows throughout the year and offer awards at some of the significant poultry club shows. The British Waterfowl Association’s biggest show is their National Championship show.
