Wonderful, Well-Researched Show

I feel compelled to write my first-ever podcast review because I truly love Search Engine. I'm a longtime listener of This American Life, which is my standard for interesting journalism, well-researched storytelling, and captivating human interest pieces. I mean it as the highest compliment when I say that Search Engine's host PJ's voice, confessional storytelling style, and way of looking at the world is strikingly similar to that of Ira Glass—which is a true feat. Search Engine is consistently the podcast I recommend to all my friends, and there is something for everyone here—even if you didn't think you cared about the feelings of the monkeys at the zoo, or Kratom, Bitcoin, or spiritual healing, you will by the end of PJ's shows. Thanks Search Engine for being a thoughtful, calming, and truly reflective antidote to the Joe Rogans of the world.
Great Storytelling

The Search Engine team always seem to find the story underneath the story, somehow making topics like car titles and airplane water filters fascinating. I find that almost every episode makes me curious about even the most mundane of things.
Always an excellent listen

Getting served carvana ads on the carvana episode is *chefs kiss*
PJ started with the best episode

Airplane coffee is an iconic podcast episode. I had such high hopes. Now it’s just PJ talking to other overly online people who also have podcasts and we’re back to editors not editing out the most annoying laugh in podcasting. It's a wildly inconsistent show. The two part German dance party season finale is yet another exercise in narcissism. It was such a snooze. Each new episode is more dull than the last.
