Pitched perfectly

As someone who cares deeply about climate change but is not as knowledgeable as I should be, this podcast was perfect for me. I loved learning more about the oceans and how they are impacted be climate change. The injustice of our system, that is based on corporate greed and run on fossil fuels is impacting the poorest members of our global community most. Importantly the podcast emphasises that we have the solutions to the crisis we face and can proceed consciously, as individuals and as communities, to make a better future. I highly recommend this series.

Absolutely love this show. Ezra Klein is a gifted interviewer that strikes the perfect balance between thoughtful input and allowing the guest to shine. This show makes me think about things I never have done about before and challenges previously help opinions and viewpoints.

Deep Cuts on Big Issues

Fantastic podcast for getting a deeper cut on contemporary debates you’ve probably thought about already on a surface level: racism, vegetarianism, money in politics, social media in society, even human genetics. In his interviews, Ezra Klein does an excellent job of getting to the nub of the question and teasing out the subtleties and significance of the positions of his guests. Rather than pretend to be impartial or ignorant, he brings his own perspective to the table – sometimes in agreement, sometimes not, he is always fair and patient with his guests, who in turn bring their most considered and developed ideas to the table. Three great recent episodes are: Taking Trump’s Corruption Seriously, The Green Pill, and Jaron Lanier’s Case for Deleting Social Media Immediately. Favourite episode: Rebecca Traister on #MeToo, Female Rage, and Anita Hill’s Legacy.
