These mysterious beings (謎の存在, Nazo No Sonzai) are an unknown higher form of life who created God and are the true overseers over Earth.

The appearance of these beings, if they have physical form, is never revealed.

Personality

These beings are jealous of humanity's mortality. They desire death since they believe mortality gives meaning to life.

History

These mysterious beings existed before the creation of God, the Celestial Realm, and Earth.

These immortal creatures wish for death. This would lead them to create God. Once God was created, he would create life on Earth, including humans, which these beings hoped that this would eventually lead to a lifeform being born that is capable of killing them. It was even stated by Gaku Yoneda that God is a weapon of genocide whose purpose is to end life.

Plot

The State Of The Earth When Visited By The Mysterious Beings

After a long time has passed of the Earth laying in ruins due to Shuji Nakaumi, as God, killing himself and destroying all life, these mysterious beings visit the remains of the planet. Upon review, they conclude that their creation has failed to produce a lifeform that is capable of killing them. The beings give up on Earth, leaving the planet completely void any of any life.

These being converse with each other on what the next step would be: if they're going to make another God or seek their creator. One of the beings points out that if everything created has a creator, then who creates the creator; all creators are also created. This would be an endless loop of 'who created that'. Solving this paradox would not help them seek death. They philosophize with each other that their eternal lives have no meaning without mortality. These beings proceed with their search of ending their lives by other means.

Abilities

• Absolute Immortality: Unlike God who only possesses nigh immortality, these beings are truly immortal. They cannot die by any means, even though they long for death.
• Life Force Generation: These beings are able to create complex life forms such as Gods. It's unknown what the source of energy that God is made from is. Gaku Yoneda stated that it would take 150 years for humans to harness this energy to make a creature that is equivalent to God, the arrows, etc. and that this unknown source could be used to power the Earth.
