Come here for the oysters, scallops with Merguez sausage and harissa and stay for the citrus-forward cocktails at this vast 120-seat venue at a former firehouse.

Kensington now has a new dazzling pizza spot that’s more than just style, but substance. After notable pop-ups at Tabachoy, Paffuto, El Chingon and Mish Mish, Gen-Z owner/chef Viraj Thomas transforms the space of the former Eeva into a pizzeria that’s serving original pies, savory bites, and soft-serve.

This new Chinatown restaurant is for those who relentlessly love peking duck. For $105, a chef will prepare a whole roasted duck for four in its crispy skin goodness right in front of you. But beyond the bird — tasty noodles, fried rice, and sautéed seafood is also on the menu.

Kevin “the sushi whisper” Yanaga returns with a new hidden omakase experience — this time, inside of Yanaga Kappo Izakaya. For $180 per diner, a lively spread of over 20 courses of sushi is served at this intimate 8-seat speakeasy.

Jamaican Jerk Hut

Don’t call it a comeback, but the iconic Jamaican Jerk Hut returns after a five-year hiatus. The Concourse at Comcast Center is the new home of the longtime favorite that’s known for their seasoned curry goat, spicy jerk chicken, and tangy plantains. Bonus points: They now serve breakfast starting at 7 am.

A new cocktail bar in Midtown Village couldn’t have come at a better time. This intimate, yet cozy 1,700 square feet space features a full-length bar with a bottle shop on-site that sells some of the finest BOTLD-approved spirits.

The newest bakery to hit Bella Vista is already generating long lines for carry-out. At Pop’s Bun Shop, Philadelphians can order cinnamon buns, sticky buns, and several kolache options around 9 am (they usually sell out by noon).
