This travel bursary aims to support aspiring researchers and conservationists to attend conferences, seminars or workshops. The bursary can be used to contribute towards bus or train travel, conference fees, accommodation and subsistence costs. The conference, seminar or workshop can be within your own country or abroad. The bursary does NOT cover flight costs, visas, equipment or a personal salary. You will need to highlight how the event you wish to attend is clearly linked to your studies, work or volunteer commitment and have a clear connection to learning, upskilling and expanding your experience and network of contacts.
The maximum amount of support: £300
Eligibility:
- Residents of an OSME region countries aged 16-30
- Must have participated in a previous OSME funded Youth Development project
When to apply:
Applicants can apply for a bursary at any time of the year, depending on the timing of the event they wish to attend. Please apply as early as possible to enable us to make a timely decision.
How to apply:
As the available funds for this bursary are limited, please contact OSME Youth Development Officer [email protected] and explain your plans BEFORE completing an application form. If funds are available and your plans meet our criteria, then you will be invited to complete an application form. Final decisions will usually be made within four weeks.
