University Public Worship

University Public Worship gathers weekly for the religious, spiritual, ethical, and moral formation of the Stanford community. Rooted in the history and progressive Christian tradition of Stanford’s historic Memorial Church, we cultivate a community of compassion and belonging through ecumenical Christian worship and occasional multifaith celebrations.
Doors open at 10:30 am.

- February 2: Ecumenical Christian Service of Communion with The Rev. Canon Eric Metoyer, Canon for Racial, Social, and Environmental Justice for the Episcopal Diocese of California.
- February 9: Ecumenical Christian Service with Rev. Dr. Sakena Young-Scaggs, Senior Associate Dean and Pastor of Memorial Church, Preaching.
- February 16: Ecumenical Christian Service with Rev. Dr. Sakena Young-Scaggs, Senior Associate Dean and Pastor of Memorial Church, Preaching.
- February 23: Multifaith Celebration of Family Heritage with Rev. Dr. Jason Thompson, Pastor of St. Andrews AME Church in Sacramento, Preaching.

Black Church University Praise & Worship @ Stanford Memorial Church, 1:30 pm
Black Church is held on select Sundays during Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters and is in the format of a worship service that is led by Rev. Dr. Sys and the Stanford Gospel Choir.
