Donald Trump has been on a merch spree this year to rival his mid-2000s run of branded energy drinks, cologne, vodka, and steaks. It began in February, when he began selling $400 gold sneakers. In April, he started promoting the “God Bless the USA Bible”; while it is not gold, it does include the U.S. Constitution and is Lee Greenwood–branded. By September, he was all-in on $100,000 watches. “It’s a tourbillon watch with almost 200 grams of gold and more than 100 real diamonds,” he explained in a video. “That’s a lot of diamonds. I love gold. I love diamonds. We all do.” Then in October came the World Liberty Financial token that seemed like just another meme cryptocurrency but actually contained fine print alerting investors that the asset is “non-transferable indefinitely.”

Adding to this historic spree on Wednesday, the president-elect announced a new item on Truth Social that he called the “Limited Edition ‘45’ Guitar.” Trump said 1,300 acoustic guitars and 1,300 electric versions will be produced. The acoustic guitar looks to be a standard shape, while the electric looks like a Gibson Les Paul. Both models feature a body with an eagle and an American flag painted on, as well as a fretboard that reads “Make America Great Again” in pearl inlay with extremely weird spacing. “Some personally signed!” Trump says. The acoustic guitars go for $1,250, and the electric versions go for $1,500. A signed guitar sells for $10,000.

While technical specs for the guitars were not available, the electric guitars look like they have a humbucker pickup system, which is standard for the Les Paul it appears to be based on. Trump’s website promises that the guitars will be delivered by Christmas. Tabs for the Village People sold separately.
