Ahead of Reopening, Frenchette’s Outdoor Dining Is Already Booked Up For Weeks

Frenchette returns with outdoor dining

Hit Tribeca brasserie Frenchette — from Balthazar alums Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson — reopens tomorrow for the first time since the start of the pandemic, and its outdoor seating area is already booked up for two weeks. Reservations can be made on Resy, but seats are booked out through August 22, according to the reservation app.

The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and for those unable to nab a spot, Frenchette is offering takeout service as well. Delivery will be added to the roster starting August 18, according to a restaurant spokesperson.

Named the James Beard Foundation’s best new restaurant of the year in 2019, Frenchette is one of the most buzzed-about destinations in the city. This is the first time the restaurant is returning to service after shutting down on March 15 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

— Lhasa — the Queens Tibetan restaurant that got spotlit by late chef Anthony Bourdain on his TV show “Parts Unknown” — now has a new East Village outpost fitted with plenty of outdoor dining.
