Now a little over two years old, Momofuku chef David Chang’s fast-casual fried chicken chain Fuku will add a sixth location this November, this time in Brookfield Place’s food court Hudson Eats.
It’s the first new location, at 200 Vesey Street between the West Side Highway and North End Avenue, since the installment of Stephanie Abrams as Fuku’s new head chef, Commercial Observer reports. She was most recently co-executive chef at Rotisserie Georgette
Brookfield Place’s menu will be similar to the latest location on Wall Street — which is just across the Financial District with fried chicken sandwiches, salads, and bowls — but broker Spencer Levy tells the Observer that he thinks the two “are really in two distinctly different markets with a different customer base.”
Fuku replaces grilled cheese shop Little Meunster’s 672-square-foot space, joining big names like Black Seed Bagel, Parm, and Mighty Quinn’s in the food court.
