“Building 7, Building 7?” What about Flight 93, shot down by US gov AFTER its passengers had regained control?

Dick Cheney has confirmed Donald Rumsfeld’s Freudian slip, that Flight 93 crashed on 9-11 because it was intercepted by a US missile, not due to a cockpit tug of war. (Americans can probably agree that hijacked planes must be shot down — but what if the passengers have subdued their attackers?) Next, the BBC confirmed that “Al-Qaeda” is and always has been the US war propaganda industry’s figment of imagination. And the Western Media carries on as if the official narrative has not sighted its iceberg, and to abuse a further idiom, like there’s no tomorrow.

Japan owes somebody A NEW BOAT!

Japan owes somebody A NEW BOAT!

sea shepherd collision ram bow
The Japanese whaling fleet, whose inhumane hunts pretend to serve the Institute for Cetacean Research, have deliberately rammed the high-tech trimaran Ady Gil, formerly the Earthrace, operated by their arch nemesis the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Pseudo-science spokesman Glenn Innwood was quick to declare the footage showed otherwise, saying the accusation “is just not vindicated by the video.” Obviously the Japanese need a cover who speaks better English. It’s a Freudian slip to seek to be not vindicated.

Au contraire for Kiwi Innwood-sen, the videos from both ships show the Ady Gil floating idle to the Shonan Maru’s starboard side before the whaler turns straight for it. The whalers are perhaps counting on not enough people seeing the video. That might have worked before YouTube.

If the Japanese believe “The obstructionist activities of the Sea Shepherd threaten the lives and property of those involved in our research, are very dangerous and cannot be forgiven” then aiming to ram the smaller vessel must constitute attempted murder, however unpremeditated the crime of passion may be.

Whether or not the action is ruled a crime, it’s without any doubt a violation of maritime code. The Ady Gil had right of way both by its position, and by being stationary.

Here’s the collision from the perspective of the whaler Shonan Maru 2, a highly maneuverable harpoon chase ship, as broadcast on Al Jazeera:

And here is the footage released by Paul Watson’s Sea Shepherd Conservation Society:

UPDATE: I’d say this footage clinches it, from the Animal Planet Whale Wars cameraman aboard the Ady Gil. Read a detailed description from NZ.

Final Solution for Palestinian Problem

Latuff cartoon
“The more Qassam fire intensifies and the rockets reach a longer range, they will bring upon themselves a bigger shoah because we will use all our might to defend ourselves.”
-Matan Vilnai, Israeli Deputy Defense Minister, Feb 29, 2008

Normally the term Shoah, Hebrew for Holocaust, is reserved by Zionists to designate the Nazi extermination of the Jews, there being no genocide ne plus ultra. Could Vilnai’s threat have been more than a Freudian Slip?

Jewish spokesmen still spin Ahmadinejad’s “wipe Israel from the map” mistranslation, but cry foul that their boy was not just misinterpreted but that Israel was libeled. They insist if Vilnai had meant Holocaust, he would have said HaShoah. Shoah versus HaShoah? You be the judge.

(Yom HaShoah means Holocaust Remembrance Day. Shoah is capitalized everywhere online, except in recent newspaper reports, including Reuters, which is perhaps an effort to re-assert the old Hebrew meaning of “calamity.”)

What has Israel been perpetrating against the Occupied Territories, but wiping the Palestinian Question from the map?

A Freudian mixed metaphor for the GOP

elephant gorillaI’ve read it several times now, the eight-hundred pound gorilla in the room. This would seem to confuse 1) the proverbial 600-900 lb primate (gorillas not named Kong seldom excede 400 lbs) who outclasses everyone else in size and power, for 2) the pachyderm in the room whose relative mass overwhelms our capacity to ignore it, though we try.

In this corporate age of Darwinian monopolies, maybe the de facto brutality of alpha-male corporate monopoly has become something the corporate media mouthpieces won’t let us talk about. There’s an elephant in the room, and the three hundred pound gorilla won’t let us talk about it.

The gorilla is the elephant is the new metaphor for the GOP.
