Areas and Passions: I am personally and professionally dedicated to social justice and equality for all persons. Specifically, I work to raise awareness and advocate for marginalized groups through my clinical practice and outreach initiatives. I have a strong interest in issues related to racial/ethnic identities especially American Indian populations, LGBT identities and "coming out" processes, and concerns typically faced by women such as body image and eating disorders.

Areas and Passions: I'm a lifelong learner passionate about engaging diverse communities through creativity and self-expression. With experience in institutions like the Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum, I now serve as the Director of Education at the Pentacrest Museums. I hold a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with further graduate work at the MIT. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, I have central Andean indigenous ancestry of the Muisca peoples, whose language can still be heard and used in the modern day.

Fun Facts: I have two cats, Nacho + Bandito who bring great joy to our family.

What advice would you give to a Native American student on campus?  Embrace persistence, which is the most common and powerful trait that Native Americans share. When you confront obstacles or frustrations, remember what your ancestors endured.

What advice do you give to someone who works with Native American students?  Each tribal nation and its people is unique. Native American cultures and identities are incredibly diverse. 

Areas of Passion & Initiatives: My areas of scholarship are criminal justice in Indian country and Indian gaming.        

Fun Facts: Served as the chief federal policymaker for Native American Affairs in President Barack Obama’s second term.
