East Nashville’s Spicy Boys is hosting a Mardi Gras party on Saturday, February 10 from noon to 10 p.m. The restaurant is churning out boiled shrimp for the occasion and serving up king cakes. New Orleans Mardi Gras parades will be live-streamed throughout the day.

Try your hand at mixing up (or shaking) a Mardi Gras cocktail at downtown’s Liquor Lab this Carnival season. In the Mardi Gras cocktails class, you’ll learn how to make three drinks with expert mixologists — like the classic hurricane or daiquiri — with innovative flavors and techniques. Small bites will be served during the class with Cajun music to help set the Mardi Gras spirit. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased here.

Nestled in Printer’s Alley, Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar serves up authentic Cajun and Creole food — like a shrimp and crawfish etouffee or fried alligator — and signature cocktails, including the Big Easy Hurricane, year-round. On Fat Tuesday starting at 4 p.m., the venue will transform into a Mardi Gras haven, with drinks, live music, a photo booth, beads, and more.

Assembly Food Hall is bringing Bourbon Street to Broadway this year with two Mardi Gras celebrations suited for all ages. On Saturday, February 10, and Fat Tuesday, February 13, a host of restaurants will be churning out specialty Mardi Gras bites, including a crawfish boil and shrimp po’ boys from Dock Local, a trio of beignets from the Philly Special, king cake shaved ice from Cotton & Snow, and a king cake waffle from the Liege Waffle Co. Assembly Food Hall will also serve up Hurricanes and Sazeracs and feature live music. Entry is free.

From February 9 to the 13, this Cajun and Creole restaurant in the Gulch is curating a special menu for Mardi Gras, featuring crawfish queso, Mardi Gras jambalaya, blackened alligator, and pecan praline pudding. To wash it all down: King Cake bushwhackers, West Bank espresso martinis, and an Urban South Beer king cake sour ale.
