SOBRO – After searching for over two and a half years, the owners of Atlanta-based Café Intermezzo have signed a lease for 2,400-square-feet in The SoBro apartment complex. The European-style coffeehouse, which has four locations in the Atlanta area, serves a wide variety of items including crepes, salads, sandwiches, pastas and all-day breakfast. HILLSBORO VILLAGE – The developers of upcoming mixed-use project Village 21 have announced some of the planned retail tenants, including locally owned juice and smoothie shop The Urban Juicer; Alabama-based taco and burrito slinger Taco Mama; and an as-yet-unannounced “celebrity-backed restaurant concept to fill the two-story restaurant and rooftop bar overlooking the intersection[.]” Tenants are expected to start opening sometime this summer. SOBRO – Another Starbucks is coming to downtown Nashville, as the coffee chain has finalized plans to open this summer in the former Steadfast Commons space in the Encore condo building. [The Tennessean]

THE NATIONS Fifty First Kitchen & Bar looks to be undergoing a substantial revamp, announcing yesterday on its Facebook page that the restaurant has closed temporarily. Promised are a new menu, a newly expanded bar that will allow for bar service on the outdoor patio as well as “an exciting secret plan that will let your four-legged family members in on the fun.” A reopening is planned for April 25. DOWNTOWN - A. Marshall Family Foods, the hospitality group behind Puckett’s Grocery, now has a name for its new downtown Nashville restaurant. Called Deacon’s New South, the steakhouse concept is slated to open this summer and will feature two bars, a lounge and a private dining area.
