As work continues to move forward on Fat Bottom Brewing's massive new 32,000 square foot facility in The Nations, more details are now out regarding the plans for the property.
A representative for Fat Bottom tells Eater that the new brewery will include a greatly expanded taproom called The HopYard, which will feature a full bar with 20 year-round and seasonal beers on tap, along with a kitchen menu of "casual yet creative" shareable plates. The space will feature communal seating, as well as a large outdoor patio. The taproom will also be home to The Reserve, a private event space that will seat 150 to 200 guests, and a small filling station that they are calling the 'Nations' Tiniest Beer Store.'
In terms of the brewery, the new facility will include a state-of-the-art custom-built quality control lab, allowing them to more thoroughly test their products throughout the brewing process. The additional space will also give them the ability to expand their offerings to include sour and barrel-aged beers, along with increasing their distribution range throughout the Southeast.
Fat Bottom, which will continue operations in its East Nashville location throughout the summer, plans to begin brewing operations in The Nations in early September, with The HopYard opening later that same month.
