A ‘Michelin-Starred Chef’ Promised for Franklin; Tailgate Beer Expanding to Music Row

FRANKLIN - New details were recently released regarding the upcoming Harpeth Square mixed-use development in downtown Franklin, including the promise of “a restaurant led by a Michelin-starred chef,” whose identity has not yet been revealed. [NBJ]

MUSIC ROW/MIDTOWN - The Demonbreun Hill nightlife strip is again going through changes, as Irish pub Harp & Fiddle plans to close at the end of October to make way for Tailgate Brewery Music Row, the latest expansion of the West Nashville brewery and tasting room. Planned for a late November opening, the new spot will offer 50 taps along with a full bar and pizza menu. [Tennessean]

WEDGEWOOD-HOUSTON - In an interview with AJ Capital’s Uday Sehgal, the money behind several major upcoming WeHo projects including the May Hosiery Co-Op, which includes an outpost of New Orleans’ St. Roch Market, it’s revealed that one planned restaurant will apparently be run by a James Beard award-winning Chicago chef. FRANKLIN - It sounds as though Biscuit Love might be heading south of town sometime in the future, as Fresh Capital, the real estate arm of restaurant group Fresh Hospitality, is under contract to purchase Lillie Belle’s, a historic home located on Third Avenue in downtown Franklin. The building seller says that Biscuit Love will operate there, while Biscuit Love co-owner Sarah Worley says that expansion is possible, but declined to elaborate further. [NBJ]

DONELSON - Longstanding Midtown Indian restaurant Sitar is getting in the expansion game, as the owners have signed a lease for a 2,147-square-foot space at 457 Donelson Pike, with plans to open early next year. They are also building a third location in Brentwood’s Maryland Farms, slated to open early next year as well. [Tennessean]

THE GULCH - The new owners of Local Taco have plans to open a New York-style pizza joint at 600 Ninth Avenue South this winter. Modeled after Austin’s Home Slice Pizza, the casual spot will serve lunch and dinner, as well as offer a large selection of brews. [NBJ]
