POST UPDATE: Fifty First Kitchen and Bar's Caroline Galzin tells Eater that they are now fully licensed and will open back up for business at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with full liquor, wine and beer service.

It's been a long time coming, but the wait is almost over, as Fifty First Kitchen and Bar co-owner Caroline Galzin tells Eater that they will officially open for service tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.

Located at 5104 Illinois Avenue in the quickly changing Nations neighborhood, Galzin, along with husband and chef Tony Galzin and former Rumours Wine Bar owner Christy Shuff, are offering a "seasonally influenced chef driven menu" in an elegantly remodeled house just off the neighborhood's main drag.

The restaurant will be BYO beer and wine only this week, while they wait for their anticipated liquor license. Starting next week, the bar will open at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, with the restaurant's first seating at 5:30. Reservations can be made by calling (615) 712-6111.
