Deli House Pops Back Up; Chicago's Zoe Schor Coming to Fifty First Kitchen

THE GULCH - Fifty First Kitchen & Bar's Tony and Caroline Galzin will revive their Deli House pop-up for a good cause this Sunday, November 22 at 2  p.m. at Jackalope Brewing Company, serving up a selection of Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches. All proceeds will go towards medical expenses for Fifty First Kitchen and Bar employee Jared Summers who underwent emergency surgery last month. [Facebook]

THE NATIONS - Chicago chef Zoe Schor, who earlier this year left her post as Ada Street's executive chef to begin planning for her own restaurant, is headed to Fifty First Kitchen & Bar on Monday, Dec. 7 for a four-course pop-up dinner entitled "It Came From the North." Selections from Chicago-based Goose Island Brew Company will be paired with each course. Dinner is $50 per guest, with seatings at 6 and 8:30 p.m. [Eaterwire]

THE GULCH - Party Fowl is planning some changes to their menu starting Dec. 1, including the addition of "bird dogs," hot dogs made out of duck and chicken wrapped in fried jalapeno cornbread, and a hot chicken andouille sausage po' boy. [Eaterwire]

NORTH GULCH - Chauhan Ale & Masala House is celebrating their one year anniversary this week by bringing back a selection of dishes from their opening menu. Starting tomorrow and running through Sunday, diners have the option of ordering from the regular or throw-back menus. Each table will also receive a free rose pistachio cake as a special thank you.
