M. Judson is much more than your downtown Greenville bookstore.
We’re your downtown Greenville neighbors, and we’re always looking for ways to help. Whether that’s serving schools and businesses, supporting local authors and writers, facilitating reading community-wide, or advocating for local involvement, we’re committed to making the story of Greenville a good one. Here are the main ways we can connect with you and others.
What’s More…
Schools and Educators
Wow, we appreciate you. We love supporting the work of schools, libraries, teachers, and educators in our community.
Doing a company-wide read? Starting an office book club? Hosting a conference? We facilitate large orders of books for businesses, conferences, and other institutions, with a discount!
Writers are everywhere, even here. As important as it is to support your local bookstore, it’s just as meaningful to support your local authors. Here are a few we work with the most.
What kind of bookstore would we be if we didn’t address the people who make our beloved books happen? Writers—not just authors, but anyone who writes—we’re talking to you. If you are a writer, if you need a writer, if you want to become one: Writeshare is for you. Greenville’s very own writing community, Writeshare offers classes, writers for hire, and opportunities to meet other people like you.
12 months, 12 books. Our Reading Challenge dares people from all over the country to read books they never thought they would. Flexible, fun, and punctuated with prizes and a party, this is a challenge you’ll actually want to finish.
Being at the heart of downtown, you may notice that the homeless members of our community often come through our doors seeking rest, respite from the weather, food and drink. We are glad to be a place of welcome and safety, and have trained our staff to know the available resources in Greenville, which are plentiful. To help you help others, we wanted to make those resources available to you too.
We’re a hot spot for out-of-town readers, which means we get a lot of questions for recommendations around Greenville. We’ve taken the liberty of gathering a few of our favorites for you here.
