I'm currently the Senior Director of Grantmaking at the Wikimedia Foundation, and have been an activist working on issues of social justice and women's rights for nearly 20 years. I'm particularly interested in how global movements form and transform, and I feel incredibly privileged to be learning from the Wikimedia movement! We have a shared responsibility towards understanding how to grow our communities and content effectively, and I'm very much looking forward to many productive conversations together.

I am currently a trustee of Wikimedia UK (WMUK) and PhD student at the Open University. My interests are in how we use technology to make meaning. In charity/third sector contexts I did some work with Nominet Trust in the UK on measuring 'value' in social media projects and wrote a series of blogs on related topics. In my research I'm using trace data to explore how people seek information, and how we can support them in better evaluative and synoptic behaviours. I've talked about using Mediawiki trace for making claims about how people are learning (learning analytics), and evaluating the use of resources (paradata). I'm particularly interested in how we can use the platform to support not just quantitative but qualitative narratives.

I have been the Events Organiser for Wikimedia UK since March 2012, where I was focusing on supporting volunteers delivering events in UK - Wikipedia learning workshops, editathons, but also larger conferences, e.g. EduWiki 2012. Since then I have taken on the role of Programme Manager, where I look at WMUK's program of activities in broader terms. I am looking forward to sharing what I have learnt with the community. My main profile is here.

I'm the project leader GLAM cooperation for the Dutch Chapter. My work ranges from organising events with GLAMs to realising building blocks for a basic infrastructure for cooperation. Some examples of the projects I'm currently working on:
- setting up a complete toolkit for organising events from A to Z (this is where evaluation plays a big role),
- implementation of the Education Program Extension on the Dutch Wikipedia,
- promoting the use of the GLAMwiki Toolset by organising workshops and writing a manual for toolset,
- setting up a train-the-trainer program,
- writing funding requests for new projects.

I have been a Wikipedian since 2008 and a board member of Wikimedia Estonia since 2010. We don't have official programs and fancy names for them yet, we have just tried our best supporting Estonian Wikipedia and Wikimedia's mission. I have been a member of article-writing and photo contest organizing teams. I have organized workshops and lectures about Wikipedia for different audiences: high-school students, university students, teachers, librarians, grown-ups in general. There are very few activists doing these and other things with me and alongside me in and around our chapter, so we certainly need to focus on the most effective approaches and build our strategy to use our limited resources best.

I'm a Wikipedian and currently the Executive Director of the Wiki Education Foundation. I've been involved in program design and execution since 2006 and I've been participating in programmatic activities (e.g. writing competitions on the German Wikipedia, Wiki Loves Monuments in California, WikiCup) as a volunteer ever since. I'm deeply passionate for providing people around the world with free access to knowledge. That's why my commitment for Wikipedia goes far beyond my current employment. My hope is that our collective exploration of evaluation practices and frameworks will move programs across countries to a higher level. And I truly believe that the process we're just about to embark upon will significantly increase the impact that our programmatic activities have in the future.

I have been involved in the Wikimedia world since 2005, especially active in Wikimedia Commons and at the French chapter Wikimédia France (serving at the board since May 2012). I was involved in the technical parts of several GLAM projects (like the French National Library, the Library and the City archives of Toulouse), and co-led the organisation of Wiki Loves Monuments in France since 2011. My current interests include tracking and measuring the impact of our support to Wikimedia Commons photographers.

I am wikipedian since end of 2003 mainly in the German Wikipedia where I am writing articles. As a zoologist I concentrate on articles on animals but a a guy who's interested in nearly everything, a long list of articles arose and several of them got featured or good articles (in de-wp called "exzellent" and "lesenswert"). In my first year I started to create a writing contest for authors that will be held the 19. time this september - also in that first year I became one of the founders of Wikimedia Deutschland and board member. Now it's nearly 10 years later and I played a lot of wikipedia games, wrote lots of stuff (including an open letter to Sue Gardner that caused a lot of trouble) installed lots of contests and worked in several projects - the latest are the German WikiCup and a photo project for festivals called Festivalsommer 2013. P.S. on that picture I am the long-haired one beside evil Frank in 2008 ...

I'm a long time Wikipedian, and as a volunteer I'm involved in GLAM-Wiki projects and women's outreach. I'm interested in learning more about how we can evaluate content donations to not only benefit our decisions as community members, but to hopefully encourage more GLAMs to open up data.

Been active since 2005 and have been involved in many projects more recently I created the WikiTowns Freopedia and Toodyaypedia. I ran my first editing workshop in 2009 and in the last 12 months I have run over 20 editing workshops, as well editathons and WikiTakes events with more scheduled in the near future. My interest is in utilising the programs developed to assess these projects and to help others develop process that can be replicated throughout the wider community.

I am a professor (English as a Second Language) at the ITESM-Mexico City Campus. We have experimented with various projects related to Wikipedia and Wikimedia aside from the writing of articles as part of coursework. These have included having students work with Wikipedia as part of community service (a requirement for International Bachelaureate and undergraduate students), and activities such as translation (English to Spanish mostly), article correction, the uploading of photographs (donations by students and institution archives) and the campus library has sponsored two photographic contests focused on images from Day of the Dead and Holy Week. These activities continue and efforts are underway to formalize what we do both with the school and with the Foundation.

I am a member of Wikimedia Australia and Wikipedian who also trains new editors on behalf of our Chapter. I am keen on GLAM and have just completed a term as Wikipedian-in-Residence at the State Library of New South Wales as part of a collaborative project that is now being evaluated. One of its outcomes was a series of planned editathons, which may well have conflicting goals - something we will need to pay attention to and something that is probably a common problem. I have been heavily involved in Evaluation in my work life and am looking forward to learning more about the range of our programs and how we can improve them. And of course, to meeting you all.

I have been active in Wikimedia since 2012, though being an Internet old-timer. After serious consideration I placed my bets on Wikimedia to be the sustainable environment for preserving and contextualizing and making use of historical documents. From this viewpoint, I have initiated the Wikimaps project for old maps, and the Wikimaps Nordic project for Nordic GLAM collaboration within the project. I am also working on a PhD on the same questions, of co-creation with historical documents, also studying the motivations for engagement and exchange of both the volunteers and the institutions. I have been volunteering for the Wikimedia Suomi for a year now, finding resources for our GLAM work, that has included the 24-hour Wikimaraton in Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, participation in the Wiki Loves Public Art and an upcoming edit-a-thon in Media Museum Rupriikki in Tampere. We have several content donations under way. So far, we have been supported by the Finnish Ministry of Culture and Education.

As the local proponent and administrator of Bikol Sentral Wikipedia which was launched on November 24, 2007, I spearheaded several meet-ups of Filipino Wikipedians in the Bicol region, dubbed as Naga Meet-ups and organized projects promoting the local Wikipedia prior to formally joining Wikimedia Philippines on February 21, 2012 until I was suspended, without due process, on June 15, 2013 during the Annual General Meeting wherein I was a candidate for Board Member. My first edit in a Wikimedia project was on August 1, 2006. In my personal capacity, I have initiated three events: Bikol Edithon, Naga Wicnic and Legazpi Photo Walk. Prior to its recognition in 2012, the Community promoted the Wikimedia projects in national and regional conferences. I was the project lead for the 5th Bikol Wikipedia Day which was celebrated through holding Wiki Takes Naga, the second Wiki Takes the City in Southeast Asia. I've been a Wikipedian since early 2006, during which time I have been involved in a lot of things, from article writing and new page patrol to OTRS work and non-free content policy enforcement. Currently, I am mostly involved in reviewing high-quality content. I became involved in the WikiCup in 2009, initially as a participant and then as a judge. I was a judge for half of the 2009 competition, and have been a judge throughout the competitions in 2010, 2011, 2012 and so far in 2013. More so than actually judging, the role is about coordination: participants need to be aware of what is going on and how the competition works, updates need to be made, newsletters need to be written, the competition has to be advertised (and sometimes defended), the rules have to be adjusted and clarified as appropriate and so forth. I have overseen (though I am certainly not solely responsible for) a considerable change in feel; the WikiCup effectively started as an edit-count competition, but was expanded to focus on audited content in 2009. Edit counting was lost altogether in 2010, and from 2011, "bonus points" were offered for work on highly important articles. The bonus point system was expanded over the next couple of years, and now plays a more significant part in the competition. The WikiCup format has been adapted for use in specific contexts on the English Wikipedia, as well as being adopted by other language Wikipedias with varying degrees of success.

I became engaged in the Wikimedia movement in august 2012 after having handed in my masters thesis on why I should write a master thesis, and thus, why there is and if there is a reason for education and especially higher education. So I came from a place with great curiosity, perhaps quite some critique and plenty of interest for education in general and higher education in particular. Since august 2012, and especially since having been employed in October 2012, I've been working with Wikipedia and education. We did though directly change that scope into also focusing on Commons & Wikiversity and not solely Wikipedia in education. Our main target has been, and still is, to have pupils and students engaged as to have them become critical thinkers and reasoning democratic citizens (yes we know it's a huge and perhaps a bit pretentious vision :) ). But foremostly, of course, to have them engaged in Wikimedia projects. What we've done is to create a momentum, a great interest in our projects, by holding seminars, being present at conferences and travelling around the country talking about our projects. We've generated great interest and more curiosity in our projects and have had teachers and others feel more secure using Wikipedia and other projects than were they beforehand.

I'm editing the Hungarian Wikipedia since 2006. I'm focusing a lot on visual appearance; I like creating good looking articles above filling them with useful and verified content. As a Wikimedian, I'm a newbie, active since December 2012 when I got elected as executive VP of WMHU.

I am technical coordinator of Polish contest Wiki Loves Monuments (Wiki Lubi Zabytki) organized by Wikimedia Polska Association. Involved in Wikimedia projects since 2005, currently mostly active in Wikimedia Commons. Besides, I was co-coordinator of some of the Polish Wikiexpeditons. As a beginning programmer I'm interested in tools used in various projects.

I conducted fieldwork with indigenous communities and delivering wikiReaders and Kiwix in hundreds of schools. Besides, I have organized events promoting free knowledge in Universities. I am coordinator of WLM in Venezuela. Organization hiking and mountaineering in remote sites to document photographically is another of my passions. I've been a computer programmer pending 15 years, graduated in Computer Engineering. I have also helped with the Kiwix development.

I'm the GLAM projects director at Amical Wikimedia, coming from Barcelona. I'm also a long time Wikimedian, with almost 50.000 edits on Catalan wiki. I'm involved in GLAM-Wiki projects from quite a long time ago now, and I truly believe that we need to better learn where to focus our efforts if we want to get the best from us all. I want to discover how you people are going through similar day-to-day programs and how you optimize your resources, also sharing our experiences here.

I started editing Wikipedia 2011. I am proud to be one of the few Wikimedians who are responsible to revive Odia Wikipedia which was dormant for about 8 years. I contribute to Odia and English Wikipedia and Commons. I love creating tutorials for new editors, evaluating user experience and designing models for new editor help desks, article improvement campaigns, on-wiki or online surveys to measure impact of outreach and online campaigns. During 2012 - 2013, I was working for the Wikimedia Foundation's India Program (an India catalyst program) which is currently housed at the Centre for Internet and Society.
