Turkish Authorities Arrest 7 ISIS-Affiliated Suspects

Ankara: Turkish security authorities arrested 7 individuals suspected to be affiliated with ISIS in Yozgat Province, central Turkey.

Teams of the Counter-Terrorism Department in Yozgat Province launched a security operation in the effort aimed at uncovering ISIS activities in the province, Turkey's Anadolu Agency said in a statement on Tuesday.

The teams carried out raid operations through which they detained 7 persons from Iraq and Syria on the charge of engaging in terrorist activities within the ISIS group, among them an execution officer in the group.

A substantial amount of documents related to ISIS had been seized during the operation, the statement added, adding that investigation teams are interrogating the suspects.
