Ice Resurfacing takes place between sessions and prior to opening

MDP Ticket Information:

No refunds unless ribbon is closed by Rink Management – no exceptions will be made
- Everyone planning to ice skate must have a ticket for a specific skating session.
- Rental Skate Sizes: child size 8 through adult size 15, there are NO half sizes.
- Please Note: Session Capacity is limited. A select number of reservation types is available. If your ticket type is unavailable, please check back to see if spots open. Tickets will not be made available if one ticket type is sold out.
- During the ticket purchase process please verify the dates, times and session type (With Skate Rental or Bring Your Own) for accuracy. Once a ticket is purchased all refund and transfer policies are in effect. The session dates, times and type are displayed throughout the transaction for review.
- Tickets are available for purchase in blocks of up to 10 per transaction. If fewer than 10 tickets remain for a particular option, the remaining quantity will be the maximum number available for selection.
- There is no waitlist. There is no room for walk-up/on-site sales if a ticket type for a session is sold out online.
MDP Ice Ribbon is an outdoor skating venue that is subjected to the elements of the Chicago Winter and operates through various weather events. Please review weather forecast prior to completing your ticket purchase.
MDP Ice Ribbon is open unless otherwise announced
- Based upon current conditions MDP Ice Ribbon management team will make every effort to announce cancellations, at minimum, an hour in advance of sessions.
- In the event the Ribbon is closed, all registered participants for the affected session will be notified via email.
- Cancellations will be posted to MDP website and MDP social media outlets. Please refer to the on-line and social media announcements as staff may not be able to receive calls if they are working on ice preparation.
- In the event that the session you have reserved is cancelled by Management (weather, emergency, safety issues) Maggie Daley Park will process refunds. All Refunds may take up to 10 Business Days to process. Refunds due to closures are an automatic system response, you DO NOT need to email us for a refund.
Manage your skating reservation:
MDP Ice Skating tickets may be transferred to another date or session time
A $3 Charge will be applied to all transferred tickets
All updates/changes to tickets must be completed a minimum of 3 days in advance of your ticketed date
- Log into your Active account @ MyEvents
- Transfer tickets: same day, different session – click change category
- Transfer tickets: different day – click change event
- Additional fees may apply if transferring from sessions with price differences or changing ticket from No Skate Rental to Skate Rental
MDP Ticket Re-Sale or Gifted:
- Individuals may Gift or Re-Sell their tickets privately by providing the receiving party the confirmation email with the QR Code to present at Check-in. Each QR Code is unique and must be presented as your ticket at check in. There is no Transfer Fee for private transfers.
