FROM 15+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
We've refined our methodology so that projects are primed for success. While this approach is the standard by which we work, every website, app, and software project is different, which means that some don't always fit within our step-by-step structure. In many cases there's even an intentional overlap between steps so we can get more done, sooner.
1. Discovery
The first step of any design or development project is working with you to figure out all of the specifics. Details like what you need it to do, what pieces of the process can be simplified, and how we can make it work best for you, your staff, and customers.
2. Planning
Once we know the project requirements, we start planning everything from demos, to development, to rollout. We come up with a schedule that's designed to most efficiently fit the specs of the project while staying within budget and deadline.
3. Creating a Demo
More often than not, a project is hard to visualize, even when every last detail has been discussed. We create a functional demo of your project so you can see how everything works, making discussions and feedback more productive and meaningful.
4. Design & Development
Once we've finished creating the demo, we begin project development. We acquire design assets so that we can insert them based on the specifications of your project. Any extra design points are created and discussed with you so we know we're heading in the right direction.
5. Testing & Feedback
Before we roll-out any website, software, or app, we test and retest each function and feature to ensure they're fast and easy to use. Then we send you an alpha version so you can take a look to see that it matches expectations. After testing and feedback, we roll-out your project.
6. Project Finalization
Your project's complete and everything's working great! But what if you want to make changes or add more to your product? Lumina offers maintenance and support for our customers, and can make any further developments you may want, when you want them.
