I'm an elder millennial trans dyke who doesn't quite fit in in very-online trans lesbian spaces; I also tend to be friends with a lot of writers, but I'm not a writer myself either. I grew up on videogames, my main fandoms these days are the sorts of books that get talked up a lot at WisCon, I'm awfully hesitant to replace a working piece of a technology with a newer item, and I'd gotten real settled into a kind of comfortable city-dwelling and friend-focused queer life that taking the pandemic seriously has kind of taken from me.
I joined LiveJournal, along with many of my Internet friends, way back when it was shiny and new and we were young and foolish. I moved to Dreamwidth when it opened; for a while I cross-posted, but at this point LiveJournal is basically dead. But I've decided that I miss this sort of site-- not just the long posts and threaded comments, but the lack of a reshare feature and everything about how that shapes a site's culture-- so I've decided to make an old-and-foolish go at posting here again.
