The office of faculty academic affairs serves the tenure-track faculty within the divisions of humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). We provide information and advice to faculty members, department chairs and directors, and administrative staff on policies pertaining to tenure-track faculty. Faculty academic affairs is responsible for tenure-track faculty appointments, promotions, career advising, tenure-clock exclusions, leaves, retentions, and other aspects of the faculty lifecycle. We support faculty governance by facilitating academic approvals and the evaluation of scholarship via the college executive committee. We also coordinate the faculty dual career program, departmental external reviews, and the development and implementation of college policies related to tenure-track faculty.
For student-related matters, please contact student academic affairs.
Faculty Academic Affairs policies, guidelines, and forms have moved to the LSA Gateway.
