MISO、UMAMI…ã¢ã¡ãªã«ã®ã½ã¼ã·ã£ã«TVã¯æ¥æ¬ã®æäºãã!:Why Social TV Startups pick random names from Japanese restaurants?
MISO
Miso is a fermented soybean paste invented by Buddhist monks in Japan. Not a single day goes by without us having a bowl of Miso soup. I don't know why the heck would they call themselves Miso, but I'm glad to hear that Miso has just raised $4 million from Khosla Ventures today. Way to go, Miso.ãã¡ãã¯ä»æã³ã¼ã¹ã©・ãã³ãã£ã¼ãº(ãµã³ãã¤ã¯ãå ±åè¨ç«è ãããã・ã³ã¼ã¹ã©ã®VC)ãã400ä¸ãã«èª¿éããã½ã¼ã·ã£ã«TVã¢ããªéçºå 「ãã½」(ãµã³ãã©ã³ã·ã¹ã³)。
UMAMI
Umami is savoriness, the fifth taste. It's subtle, hard to translate, but it's surely there. Thanks to Prof. Kikunae Ikeda, Umami came to be recognized worldwide. More on "Discovery of Umami." The social platform firm Umami has raised $1.65 million seed fund in August.Umami for iPad - Your TV Companion from Umami TV on Vimeo.
