Italians really do just do it better.
It’s a little like la grande bouffe (of which I loved) in the way that it primarily takes place in one large house, there’s a scummy main character, there’s sex parties and the cinematography as a whole.
It of course differs as it’s a giallo so it’s a lot more tense and suspenseful but I found that area to be little lacklustre, it took a little step back in that are but the overall story was great.
I can see why a lot of people love this tho, the cinematography is fantastic, it’s stylish but also unsettling, at times filled with dread particularly that last 25m
I do think I need to give this a Rewatch tho I can see myself liking it more on a second viewing.
