Seperate the art from the artist and given to you is a sublime, intoxicating Neo-Noir thriller. It’s simply stunning—cinematography, score, screenplay, acting, direction; all of them are ticked off in just over 2 hours which really feels like 20 minutes.
There’s nothing else to say really. It’s an all time great. It’s easy to see why it’s an all time great. The issue I have with the film itself (beyond Polanski—fuck him) is that it makes me want to pick up cigarettes again. Wouldn’t have been half as cool if Jack Nicholson was puffing a Vaporesso Mini, but I digress.
