the last 30 minutes are so fucking unsettling...when i tell you i instantly put on seinfeld after this ended because i did not want to sit with my thoughts...
it's not often that a horror film leaves my skin crawling. the shot of the eye in the door made me audibly go: "nO, FUCK OFF". the ending was absolutely chilling.
the film's surprisingly progressive for its time, given the treatment of abortions, harrowing depiction of domestic abuse, and the fact that this doesn't veer into exploitative territory like several other slashers of this nature tend to do.
however, i can't give this 4 stars because why the hell did no one think to check the stupid attic-
