Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a beautifully made and delightfully funny Spider-Man movie which perfectly captures the essence of what makes Spider-Man such a fantastic character.
Peter Parker is dead and Miles Morales gets bitten by a radioactive spider which gives him superpowers. Miles is pushed to the edge as he has to try and stop Kingpin from opening a portal to a parallel universe. However, he's not alone as other Spider-people have been brought over from their universe.
It is amazing to see adaptations of other Spider-Men and not just focusing on Peter Parker all the time. Miles is a fun character and is the first black Spider-Man. He is joined by Spider-Woman, or Spider-Gwen as she is often called, introducing the first female to have spider powers in a feature film.
The animation is incredible. It is like reading an actual comic book. This is probably the only movie that has perfectly captured what comic books are like.
Not only is it beautifully animated but it is also hilarious. It makes fun of all the other Spider-Man adaptations while having the same origin story as they do, but turning it into a meta joke.
The only negative point is that everything seems to happen really fast. It doesn't really give the audience a chance to catch their breath, it just flings them around from scene to scene.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is probably one of the best animated films and Spider-Man films ever made.
