Pshh, of course I didn’t have this at 2.5/5, that’d be insane...
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit I was very wrong about this movie. I used to be a dumb dumb idiot who hated musicals, now I’m a dumb dumb idiot who thinks musicals are great!
I mean, everything is pretty great, and my complaints are just overshadowed by a different fantastic element of the movie. Of course it suffers from some not so great songs (I hate City Of Stars, fight me), it’s really long, and it has a serious lack of J.K. Simmons, but who cares when it’s this sexy.
Dancing?
Sexy.
Cast?
Sexy.
Colours?
Sexy.
It’s just a fun, happy, amazing movie.
One issue sticks out for me though. Why is it that when Ryan Gosling obsesses over jazz it’s “quirky” but when I obsess over the Kung Fu Panda series it’s “unhealthy” and I “need to stop harassing my grandparents”.
