Somehow this has become a Thanksgiving tradition and honestly that's amazing.
This movie is just so fun! The writing is so top notch; everything is paid off and there isn't a single wasted moment. Each time I watch this I find new details in either the animation, the dialogue, or the themes (it wasn't until this watch that I realized that when people talk about how Miles has a spark, that he develops a literally spark with his Venom-Strike). Thematically, the idea of everyone can be a hero is great, and is demonstrated so well through both the different Spider-Mans and the other characters in Miles's life (namely, his father). It's truly fun for the whole family, and to me, easily the best superhero movie of all time, if only because it understands why people like these stories and characters. It's not just their power, but their resilience, their generosity, and their acceptance of their self.
