What a wonderful film, indeed. I'm honestly surprised I never heard about this one before, can't believe I just watched it. What a way to end 2024 (it’s past 4 AM, January 1st, lol).
The narrative and the way the story evolves are splendid. The characters are so likable, except for that Mr. Potter. I was surprisingly impressed by the acting of the main characters, no overacting, unlike what was common in many films from that era.

George Bailey is such an amazing, well-hearted character. I connected with him quickly. At some point, I felt his desperation; I completely get it, what other chance did he have? But then it ended so perfectly. I totally need a Mary Hatch in my life.
A great Christmasy film, I wish I had known about its existence sooner.
